When I was a full-time conscript in the Singapore Armed Forces, Youtube didn't exist. In fact, the concept of internet and having personal internet access only came in the mid-90s and later to the masses in Singapore.
Fast forward to 2008 and you can find Youtube videos on various aspects of army life without having to go through 2 years of full-time national service or 10 years of annual reservist in-camp training ranging from 2 days to 21 days (or more).
Here are some videos that brings back memories for us old(er) conscripts but may be entertaining and educational for those of you whose NRIC number starts with 90 onwards.
The Standard Obstacle Course (SOC)
The SAR-21 Rifle
BMT Life
Enjoy.
